Several thought forms, thought styles, and perspectives had emerged by community leaders, political leaders and public analysts about the circumstances that led to the gruesome onslaught on our Kabiesi which led to the joining of His ancestral fathers painfully.
This matter goes beyond superficial and platonic brain waves’ submission on the serious matter. The Oba of Koro (A Retired Army General) departed this Sinful world as a great and giant ruler and soldier who sacrificed His golden life for the sake of humanity and His professional society for posterity.
He defended his community and military profession by demonstrating to the entire world that He was not a coward through his brave and courageous actions against the command of the wicked bandits, terrorists and kidnappers who carried out the dastardly act.
A brave, gallant and courageous soldier will do exactly what our Kabiesi did. Instead of obeying the command and instructions of His assailant. Our Kabiesi also believed in freedom and guaranteed safety among His people. A Philosophical school that is always difficult to interiorize and internalize by most leaders in Nigerian society today.
This is due to the unwarranted status-gap created between them and their subjects. General Peter Olusegun Aremu-Cole was never careless with his life because of his commitment to his Philosophical convictions as a leader and ruler. He trusted His people by believing that He was safe in their hands. As a people who jealousy guide cultural ethos and transparent disposition to life. In fact, the kind of humans in possession of such sterling, rare and uncommon qualities demonstrated by Olukoro could be found in utopian.
Kabiesi did not downplay tradition and custom in any way. His departure was just an act of God. A supreme price He’s destined to pay for His people as a courageous leader and ruler.
General Peter Olusegun Aremu-Cole was highly celebra, full of ideas, skills, knowledge and wisdom to tackle countless challenges in His Military career and community leadership. He was highly successful in His Military career and community development using His talent and gifts to address myriad naughty and stubborn issues to move His profession and community to greater heights.
Kabiesi, the Olukoro of Koro, Oba Peter Olusegun Aremu-Cole you have shamed the devil and death by transiting to the greater beyond gloriously. Though your departure from this dark world was untimely and highly painful with the vacuum you have created and legacies that you have established which may be very difficult to fill in Koro community. But we have the assurance that your soul is resting peacefully with our Lord Jesus Christ.
